Hands-on, Science Courses
Iridescent is a science education, non profit organization committed to bringing cutting-edge science to the public. Our expertise is in training engineers and scientists to communicate real-world science to children through exciting, hands-on science activities. We focus on bringing this scientific expertise and mentorship to underrepresented minority communities and girls. Most of our courses are conducted in inner city schools in Los Angeles.
Our goal is to develop synergistic partnerships between engineers and scientists and comunities. Through participation in our hands-on science courses, the public increases its scientific literacy and critical thinking skills. Engineers and scientists learn how to teach cutting-edge science to K-12 children and their parents in exciting, engaging ways.
